Who we are
Find out more about who we are as a church — our heart, our leadership, and what we believe.
Our heart
Everything changes when we encounter the love of God. We believe Love is a Person — Jesus — and that every desire, every answer, and every next step is found in Him. That's why we pursue Him with everything we have: seeking His face in worship, calling on Him in prayer, and obeying His voice in the everyday.
When we gather together, we desire to make sure one thing happens: we lift the name of Jesus high. As we do, the Holy Spirit shows up — transforming lives, renewing thoughts, and setting hearts on fire for more of Him. The truth is this: only one thing is actually needed — to sit at His feet.
We're Dwelling House Church, located on the far west side of Madison — right next to Fitchburg and a quick hop from Verona — and we're a family whose passion is one name: Jesus.
Our pastors
Pastors Jay and Suzie Genin have been the Senior Pastors of Dwelling House Church since 2015. Jay (Jeremiah) graduated from Life Pacific University in Southern California with a BA in Biblical Studies in 2004. During his college schooling, Jay and Suzie met at the church they served together in, The Rock in Anaheim, CA, and were married in 2003. They moved to Madison — where Jeremiah is from — in 2004 and have served at Dwelling House Church since that time.
Jay and Suzie are passionate about seeing God's plan and promises come to pass in people's lives, including the greater Madison area. They believe God is raising up a people who are passionate about "discovering life in Jesus" — to see people equipped and prepared to fulfill their God-given purposes in life.
“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.”
Hebrews 13:8
Our beliefs
This is how we view God, Jesus, the Bible, man, and many significant aspects of our faith. Firmly rooted in Scripture, the beliefs of Dwelling House Church guide our decisions as a church.

Salvation is God's free gift to us, but we must accept it.

His work in us is real, and it should be lived out in our everyday life.

As believers, we are able to fulfill our purpose because the Holy Spirit lives in us.

People will exist eternally, with or without God.
Our denomination
As a denomination, The Foursquare Church has a unique history that stems from missions and evangelism. It began as a powerful evangelistic movement and spread throughout the nations to become the global family it is today. Foursquare began in 1923, when founder Aimee Semple McPherson opened the first Foursquare church in Los Angeles.
Motivated by the Great Commission to make disciples around the world, Foursquare empowers every believer to expand God's kingdom — partnering with churches around the world through leadership development, church multiplication, and church health strategies. Contexts change, but the message is sacred: “Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever.”
